You can find arrival and departure notes specific to your session on the event listings and in your registration confirmation emails. Use these general notes below as a reference for how and when to drop off and pick up your camper. Please note that smoking, including e-cigarettes, and pets are not allowed on camp property.
Check-In/Drop-Off
Check-in times and procedures for specific camp locations and camp types are listed below. Please contact us as soon as you can if this timeframe might not work for you.
Campers will not be able to stay at camp without these essential forms.
Check-In Times
Resident and Family Camp at Elk River, Lakamaga
Resident (Overnight) Camp
- Check-in for resident overnight camp sessions will take place in the afternoon on Sunday.
- Check-in will be staggered, and you will receive a time-slot 2 week prior to your session via email. Please arrive only in your scheduled check-in time. Additional information will be available in your pre-camp email as you session start date gets closer.
Family (Overnight) Camp
- Check-in for family overnight camp sessions will take place between 6:30-7:30 pm on Fridays.
Resident Camp at Northwoods
- Check in for Northwoods happens at the bus stop on Sunday morning. See Bus to Northwoods for more information.
Troop Camp at Singing Hills, Northwoods
1-Night Troop Exploration Camp
- Check-in for Troop Exploration one-night overnight programs will take place between 2:00 – 3:00 pm on Thursdays.
2-, 3-, and 4-Night Troop Exploration Camp
- Check-in for Troop Exploration two-night, three-night, and four-night overnight camp sessions will take place between 6:00 – 7 :00 pm on Fridays and Sundays.

|Check-In Procedures
Resident (Overnight) Camp
Check-in will be staggered, and you will receive a time-slot 2 week prior to your session via email. Please arrive only during your scheduled check-in time. Once you arrive at camp, you will be directed where to go. Northwoods campers should visit Bus to Northwoods for more information on Check-in. You will be asked to do the following:
- Fill out CampDoc two weeks prior to your camp session.
- Let us know in writing who can pick up your camper
- Help your camper complete a general health check with the health staff to review health history and turn in any medications
- Turn in money and Cookie Credits to be used at the camp store. Camp store money will be available to purchase at time of check-in/drop off. Camp Care packages are only available for preorder. Read Camp Store money information for more details.
- Drop off your camper with our friendly staff so she can get settled in.
- Drop off any pre-written cards and letters you have for the week. Please do not drop off any food to your camper as it attracts bugs and other animals.
Troop Camp at Singing Hills, Northwoods
Please arrive only during your scheduled check-in time. Once you arrive at camp, you will be directed where to go. You will be asked to do the following:

Resident and Family Camp at Elk River, Lakamaga
- Check-out for resident camp sessions will take place Friday afternoon at 11:00 am. You will receive more information about check-out in your pre-camp email communication.
- Check-out for family camp sessions will be after dinner on Saturday night.
Resident Camp at Northwoods
The bus from Camp Northwoods leaves camp at 11:00am on Fridays and arrives to bus stops in the mid-afternoon. See Bus to Northwoods for more information.
Troop Camp at Singing Hills, Northwoods

|Check-Out Procedures
Resident Camp
Campers will be ready to go once you arrive, and pick-up should take a matter of minutes. You will be directed to pick up your camper at a designated area by our staff when you arrive. You will receive the following:
- All medications and any remaining camp store money.
- A letter from your camper’s counselor letting you know about your camper’s time at camp and the activities she participated in.
- A note from the health director if your camper required anything besides basic first aid treatments, if we found any ticks on your camper, or if there are any concerns.
- You will be asked to officially check your camper out by signing the check-out report. Parents/guardians or others designated to pick up a camper should bring photo ID.
Troop and Family Camp
Once your program is complete, staff members will indicate that you can head out! Before you go, you will receive any badges or patches earned as part of the program.
