Contacting Your Camper

Everyone loves to get mail at camp! Write to your camper as frequently as you’d like during their stay. Happy mail—not worrisome news or information on what they are missing out on—is the best type of mail to send. Please do not send food to your camper as it attracts bugs and other critters. If a camper receives food, it will be kept in the kitchen until departure.

Whether it’s her first or tenth time going to Girl Scout Camp, nothing says you care like a Camp Care Package! Care package items have limited quantities, so order early. To ensure the package will be delivered to the campers on time, online orders must be placed before May 16.

Camp Stores will be open, and campers can use Fall FUNDraiser, cookie, and Juliette credits. Another option is purchasing Camp Store Money when checking in your camper. For ease of processing, since check-in will be at your vehicle our preference is a credit or debit card. Camp Store Money is offered in $1.00 and $5.00 increments. Unused Bucks will be returned to your camper at the end of their camp week and they do not expire. In the future, Camp Store Money can be used for the following Girl Scouts River Valleys offerings:

• Girl Scouts River Valleys shops
• Girl Scouts River Valleys resident camps
• Council approved day camp
• Official service unit encampments
• Council-sponsored events
• Girl Scout of the USA membership dues and lifetime memberships
• Girl Scout of the USA travel destinations
• Council-approved Girl Scout Junior, Cadette, Senior and Ambassador extended troop trips
• Completed Girl Scout Bronze Award projects
• Approved and completed Girl Scout Silver and Gold Award Projects

If your camper will be using electronic credits, please be prepared to provide the electronic code and the balance on the electronic account. In addition, please tell the Camp staff what dollar amount your camper can spend during their stay.

The Camp Store is a fun camp experience, and for some, provides a sense of independence, getting to select items with their hard-earned program credits. For others it is a fun filled shopping experience alongside their fellow campers. The Camp Store has a variety of merchandise priced from $5.00 to $50.00. The types of products range from Tee Shirts, Hoodies, LED camp lanterns, flashlights, jewelry, games, books, puzzles, plush, the list is endless!

Camp store money, cash, checks, credit / debit cards like other personal items are securely held by Camp staff for all campers.

We use a one-way communication system to allow you to contact your camper during their stay at camp. To send a note fill out the form below. We will then print off the notes at 9:00 (CST) am and 4:00 pm (CST) each day and deliver them to your camper.
