Girl Scouts River Valleys provides bussing to all council-led Day Camps at Camp Lakamaga. The bus picks up campers at four different stop locations in the morning and drops them off at the same locations at the end of the day. There will be a camp staff member assigned to each bus to help with check in and check out each day. Which bus your camper will use does not need to be decided at registration. Parents/guardians will inform camp of which bus stop the camper will be dropped off and picked up at when filling out CampDoc.

Bus 1:
- 7:30 am – Bus check-in in Edina (bus departs at 7:40)
- 8:00 am – Bus check-in in Brooklyn Center (bus departs at 8:10)
- 9:00 am – Bus arrives at Camp Lakamaga
- 4:00 pm – Return bus leaves Camp Lakamaga*
- 4:55 pm – Return bus arrives in Brooklyn Center*
- 5:20 pm – Return bus arrives in Edina*
*Note that on Friday, August 14, campers will depart Camp Lakamaga at 2:00 pm with estimated arrival times of 2:55 pm in Brooklyn Center and 3:20 pm in Edina
Bus 2:
- 7:40 am – Bus check-in in St. Paul (bus departs at 7:50)
- 8:10 – Bus check-in in White Bear Lake (bus departs at 8:20)
- 9:00 am – Arrival at Camp Lakamaga
- 4:00 pm – Return bus leaves Camp Lakamaga*
- 4:40 pm – Return bus arrives in White Bear Lake*
- 5:05 pm – Return bus arrives in St. Paul*
*Note that campers will depart Camp Lakamaga at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 14 with estimated arrival times of 2:40 pm in White Bear Lake and 3:05 pm in St. Paul
Arrive at Stops Early
It is important to arrive early enough to get your camper on the bus and to ensure the bus schedule stays on time. This means you may not see the bus waiting for you when you arrive. Delays may occur from time to time due to traffic congestion and other unforeseen circumstances. Please refer to the online schedule to confirm arrival time. The recorded message at 800-845-0787 will be updated to inform you of any delay of an hour or more. If you are not on time, the bus will leave as scheduled without your camper and you will have to drive to the next stop or all the way to camp.
