|Behavior
Anyone attending a Girl Scout event or camp program is expected to follow the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Campers and their adults cannot bring or use weapons, alcoholic beverages, drugs (other than those prescribed by a physician), or tobacco products at any River Valleys event or onto any River Valleys program or on any River Valleys property.
If, for any reason, an attendee’s behavior is not within our expectations, they will be asked to leave as soon as possible. We will expect a caregiver to pick up a camper as soon as possible, and adults will need to provide their own transportation. This is at the expense of the caregiver or adult attendee. We will not refund session fees.
Animals
Pets are not allowed on any Girl Scouts River Valleys property or camp. Exceptions are made for service animals.
Severe Weather
Outdoor activities are usually held “rain or shine,” so dress/pack appropriately for the weather and season. Please see our Packing Lists for a complete list of items you’ll need. Under some circumstances, Girl Scouts River Valleys will need to cancel a camp session or program event due to weather. If a camp sessions cancelled, you will be notified as soon as possible via text and email.

- Cancellations are accepted by phone, email, in-person or by submitting the Camp and Event Cancellation Form.
- Refund requests submitted after these deadlines will be considered when a registrant cancels due to illness or family emergency and approved by Girl Scouts River Valleys.

- For overnight resident camp sessions, if a camper’s stay is shortened due to an unexpected illness, injury, or family emergency and the camper needs to leave camp before 50% of the camp session has passed, the family will receive a partial refund of 50% of the cost of the camp session minus the deposit.
- Girl Scouts River Valleys will not issue partial early departure refunds for reasons other than illness or injury, including homesickness, scheduling conflicts, or being sent home due to violation of the camper code of conduct.
